A personal journey to Tanjung Puting inspired him to channel his expertise into a venture with a purpose: to protect the magnificent orangutans by creating a sustainable, high-value tourism model. Dr. Anya Sharma
Chief Conservation Officer & Lead Primatologist Guide

Bio: Ratna is our indispensable leader on the ground. Born and raised in Pangkalan Bun, she possesses an intimate knowledge of the local culture, logistics, and environment. Ratna manages our entire field operation, from the moment guests arrive at Iskandar Airport (PKN) to the coordination of our klotok crews, supplies, and park permits. Her strong relationships with the National Park Authority (Balai Taman Nasional Tanjung Puting) and local communities are vital to our smooth and responsible operations. Ratna’s leadership ensures that our high standards of safety, service, and sustainability are implemented flawlessly in a remote and challenging environment.
Captain Iwan Kusuma
Lead Klotok Captain & River Navigator
Credentials: Ahli Nautika Tingkat IV (ANT-IV) Maritime Certificate; 25+ years navigating the Sekonyer River; Certified in Basic Safety Training (BST).
Bio: Captain Iwan is a master of his domain. With over two decades of experience, he knows every bend and tributary of the Sekonyer River. His skill is paramount to the safety and quality of our voyages, ensuring smooth navigation and positioning the vessel for optimal wildlife viewing without disturbing the animals. Captain Iwan is also a respected elder in the local community, and his crew is trained not only in navigation and safety but also in the principles of hospitality and environmental stewardship.
